Malawi’s Onesmus Makes International Splash with ‘Green Light, Red Light’ Featured in Netflix’s ‘Blood & Water’ Season 4

Malawi’s rising Afrobeat star, Onesmus, continues to make waves on the global stage, proudly representing his homeland with his track ‘Green Light, Red Light’ featured in the latest season 4 of the Netflix series ‘Blood & Water’.

‘Blood & Water’ follows the story of Puleng, a high school student whose sister was abducted years ago as part of a human trafficking ring. The first season premiered on Netflix on May 20, 2020, and recently, the series was renewed for its fourth season.

Onesmus, also known as Armstrong Kulua, expressed his excitement in an interview, seeing his song as a part of the acclaimed series. He sees this as a significant step towards international recognition, joining the ranks of other Malawian artists featured in the show, such as Gemini Major and producer/trapper Jillz.

Speaking to the publication, Onesmus attributed his success to hard work, patience, and determination. He views this opportunity as a sign of his growing presence on the global music scene. In addition to his track being featured on 'Blood & Water', he kicked off 2024 with the release of his EP 'I Am Strong', hinting at more exciting projects to come.
